The villages, hamlets and hill farms served by Llanfrynach Community Council are at the heart of the Brecon Beacons. From the highest peaks, Pen y Fan, Cribyn and Fan y Big, streams run north to join the magnificent River Usk and its waterway neighbour, the historic Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal. To the south, streams flow onwards to the South Wales valleys.
